Ripple Secures DFSA License in the UAE

  • Ripple has secured a major license in the Middle East after getting regulatory nod from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).
  • The license allows Ripple to offer regulated crypto payments and services within the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC).

Ripple announced on March 13, 2025 that it had secured a major license in the Middle East.

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has greenlit Ripple to offer regulated crypto payments and services within the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC).

Ripple becomes the first blockchain-enabled payments provider to snag this crucial DFSA license.

Ripple secures license in Middle East milestone

This DFSA approval marks another of Ripple’s footprint in the Middle East, with this adding to a presence that includes major partnerships in the region.

It enhances the XRP creator’s recognition and aligns with Ripple’s plans to add to its global customer base. The license also means a potentially massive opportunity for XRP adoption.

“We are entering an unprecedented period of growth for the crypto industry, driven by greater regulatory clarity around the world and increasing institutional adoption,” said Brad Garlinghouse, chief executive officer of Ripple. “Thanks to its early leadership in creating a supportive environment for tech and crypto innovation, the UAE is exceptionally well-placed to benefit.”

A 2024 Ripple survey found 64% of finance leaders in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) see faster payments as the killer app for blockchain-based currencies. No surprise, then, that over 82% of MEA finance bosses say they’re “very or extremely confident” about integrating this tech into their operations.

“Dubai and the broader UAE have established themselves as leaders in fostering a progressive and well-defined regulatory framework for digital assets,” said Reece Merrick, Ripple’s managing director for Middle East and Africa.

Merrick added;

“Securing this DFSA license is a major milestone that will enable us to better serve the growing demand for faster, cheaper and more transparent cross-border transactions in one of the world’s largest cross-border payments hubs.”

This license will be great for Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD, which the company launched late last year. Like other stablecoins, RLUSD could supercharge crypto adoption in the UAE, with users accessing real-time settlement for cross-border payments and remittances.

Binance secures $2b investment from Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund MGX

  • Binance has scored a massive $2 billion investment from MGX, an Abu Dhabi-based sovereign wealth fund.
  • The investment is Binance’s first institutional deal since Changpeng Zhao founded it in 2017.

Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by trade volume, has secured a $2 billion investment from MGX, an Abu Dhabi-based sovereign wealth fund.

Announced on March 12, 2025, the deal sees MGX take a minority stake in Binance.

The investment is Abu Dhabi-based MGX’s single largest splash on a crypto company. It’s also the first institutional investment Binance has sealed since its founding in 2017.

What they said

In a comment, Binance chief executive officer Richard Teng said:

“This investment by MGX is a significant milestone for the crypto industry and for Binance. Together, we are shaping the future of digital finance. Our goal is to build a more inclusive and sustainable ecosystem, with a strong focus on compliance, security, and user protection. Binance remains committed to working with regulators worldwide to establish transparent, responsible, and forward-thinking policies for the crypto industry. Our ongoing investments in security and compliance reinforce our mission to foster a secure and trusted digital financial ecosystem.”

MGX’s investment in Binance comes a few weeks after the exchange’s founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao said Binance was not for sale.

CZ however noted that the crypto behemoth was open to investment opportunities amid the quest for further growth. Zhao shared the latest development via X.

Commenting on the investment, MGX’s managing director and CEO Ahmed Yahia, stated:

“MGX’s investment in Binance reflects our commitment to advancing blockchain’s transformative potential for digital finance. As institutional adoption accelerates, the need for secure, compliant, and scalable blockchain infrastructure and solutions has never been greater. Binance has long been a driving force in cryptocurrency innovation, from exchange technology and tokenization to staking and payments.”

Binance has continued to grow despite the regulatory hurdles that saw it pay $4.3 billion to settle with US authories in 2023. The former CEO Zhao also had to step down, eventually serving a four-month prison sentence.

Bitcoin Pepe maintains its shine as Bitcoin price bleeds further

Bitcoin season remains in play at an index of 14, as highlighted on CoinMarketCap. Even with heightened market volatility and revolutionary technologies like AI and Telegram gaming, BTC remains the most steady and reliable network. While it has dropped by about 20% since hitting its all-time high in late January, it is still 30% higher than it was a year ago.

Even so, savvy investors are increasingly looking for opportunities in the altcoins. More specifically, the meme culture has birthed numerous crypto millionaires. This is one of the reasons why revolutionary meme projects like Bitcoin Pepe are raising hefty figures in their first weeks of presale. Its adoption of the meme culture, coupled with the PEP-20 standard and layer-2 solution on the Bitcoin network places it on the list of crypto ICOs to watch in 2025.

Bitcoin ETFs record massive outflows as BTC price remains in the red

Bitcoin price is in the red for the second week in a row as the bulls strive to defend the support zone of $85,000. Since hitting its all-time high in late January 2025, it has dropped by over 20%; momentarily plunging below the crucial level of $80,000 a week ago.

Amid the selling pressure, Bitcoin ETFs recorded total net outflows of $409.21 million on 7th March as stated on SoSoValue. ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF and Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund topped the list with daily net outflows of $160.03 million and $154.89 million respectively.

A look at its daily chart points to the continuation of the downtrend, atleast in the short term. More specifically, it will likely trade within the range of between $85,083 and the 25-day EMA of $91,054 for a while longer. Failure to attract enough buyers to defend the current support zone will give the bears an opportunity to retest the week’s low at $82,223.

Bitcoin Pepe surpasses $4 million in less than 4 weeks as momentum heightens

Less than 4 weeks since the launch of its presale, Bitcoin Pepe has already raised over $4 million. Indeed, it is more than a typical meme coin; it is a revolutionary project.

Through the new PEP-20 standard, anyone can launch a meme coin directly on the highly stable Bitcoin network. This has bridged the gap between the Bitcoin maximalists who view meme coins as an unserious venture and meme coin enthusiasts who saw BTC as being beyond their reach.

Besides, the Layer 2 solution is aimed at building “Solana on Bitcoin”. This means that investors are assured of Bitcoin’s top-notch security while enjoying lower fees and speedier transactions.

At stage 6 of its presale, the early adopters have already locked in 27.6% in gains. By the time it hits the public shelves in Q2, their capital investment will have earned cumulative returns of 311.4%. Read more on how to buy Bitcoin Pepe here.

Crypto downturn pushes Solana on range-bound trading

Solana price

Solana price has experienced intense swings in recent weeks; plunging by about 53% since hitting its all-time high in late January 2025. During this timeframe, it has been in the red for six out of the past seven weeks.

A look at its daily chart shows the altcoin trading below the 25 and 50-day EMAs, indicating that it is not out of the woods yet. In the short term, the range between the steady support zone of $125.28 and the resistance level of $146.33 will be worth watching. Further rebounding will have the bulls eyeing the next target at $160.10.

Bitcoin Pepe’s presale nears $4m as BTC’s price hits $92k

Key takeaways

  • BTC is trading above $92k after adding 6% to its value in the last 24 hours.
  • The Bitcoin Pepe presale is approaching $4 million as stage six nears completion.

Bitcoin surpasses $92k on tariff news

BTC, the number one cryptocurrency by market cap, was bullish on Wednesday, adding over 6% to its value and allowing it to cross the $92k level. At press time, the price of Bitcoin stands at $92,263 and could surge higher in the near term.

Bitcoin’s rally can be attributed to tariff news as President Trump delays tariffs on auto parts from Mexico and Canada. The news eased investor worries and could push Bitcoin’s price higher in the coming hours and days.

What is Bitcoin Pepe?

As Bitcoin’s price crosses the $90k level, altcoins are also performing excellently. New projects are not left out as investors continue to push funds into exciting projects in the crypto market.

Bitcoin Pepe is an exciting project that seeks to revolutionise the Bitcoin ecosystem. It is approaching a key level in its presale, with investors pushing millions of dollars into the project.

Bitcoin Pepe is seeking to leverage the liquidity and security of the Bitcoin blockchain. It will use Bitcoin’s position in the market to introduce memecoins to its ecosystem.

The team revealed in its whitepaper that they are building a layer-2 network on the Bitcoin blockchain. Bitcoin Pepe will be a meme-specialized layer-2 solution built on top of Bitcoin, bringing Solana-style scalability to the Bitcoin network.

As a L2 network, Bitcoin Pepe will build a home for memecoin activities within the Bitcoin ecosystem. This will help it unlock decentralized finance (DeFi) and meme trading on top of BTC.

This project is also the first-ever meme initial coin offering (ICO) on the Bitcoin blockchain, making it the perfect fusion between BTC’s security and the unstoppable force of memecoins.

The utility will enable Bitcoin Pepe to combine high levels of trust (BTC) with high levels of performance (SOL) to capture high levels of retail mass adoption.

Bitcoin Pepe presale nears $4m

The Bitcoin Pepe presale has been running for three weeks and has raised $3.9 million. It is approaching the $4 million mark and will soon enter its seventh stage, with 23 more stages to go.

The native token, $BPEP, is available to investors via the Bitcoin Pepe website. The token can be purchased using various cryptocurrencies, including ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB, and SOL. In this sixth presale stage, $BPEP is going for $0.0268 and is set to increase to $0.0281 in the next stage.

Bitcoin Pepe’s utility makes this presale an excellent opportunity for investors as it could enable them to get in early on an exciting project.

Will Bitcoin Pepe boost the Bitcoin ecosystem?

The Bitcoin Pepe project will unveil products and services that could improve the Bitcoin ecosystem. Introducing DeFi and memecoin trading on Bitcoin could enhance the network’s utility, enabling it to compete with smart contract blockchains like Ethereum and Solana in terms of utility.

Bitcoin Pepe will enable developers to launch memecoins on the Bitcoin blockchain with ease. Memecoins will empower the Bitcoin blockchain to become home to a crazy high-octane meme experience.

The Bitcoin Pepe project intends to unlock Bitcoin’s $2 trillion dormant market cap, making it available for memecoin trading. The layer-2 network will provide the necessary infrastructure for all memes to migrate to BTC, ensuring security and liquidity for investors and users. Bitcoin Pepe’s native $BPEP token will power several activities within the ecosystem.

Should you buy the $BPEP token in its presale stage?

The Bitcoin Pepe presale is in its sixth stage, with the $BPEP token going for $0.0268 and increasing in the next stage. As the team develops its L2 network and other products, the presale could be an excellent opportunity to get in on the project, allowing investors to gain early exposure to the project.

Bitcoin Pepe will roll out memecoin trading to the Bitcoin ecosystem. This could increase the utility of the $BPEP token and could make it a top performer in the broader crypto market. The presale allows investors to purchase Bitcoin Pepe’s native token at a discount before it launches on centralised and decentralised exchanges.

Bitcoin Pepe readies for a crypto revolution amidst a risk-off mood

Crypto majors have remained under pressure despite President Trump’s talks of a US crypto reserve. Amid the tariff jitters and economic uncertainties, the market is in a risk-off mood.

Nonetheless, savvy investors continue to look for opportunities beyond the majors. Bitcoin Pepe, the first meme ICO on Bitcoin’s network, is one of the projects on meme lovers’ radar. Its one-of-a-kind infrastructure and virality have positioned it for a crypto revolution with its early adopters earning heftily in the process.

Bitcoin price caught between risk-off mood and bull run optimism

Bitcoin price is back above the crucial support zone of $85,000 after plunging below it in the previous session. However, the market remains noisy as extreme fear overshadows the highly anticipated bull run of 2025.

In the near term, the bulls will likely face resistance along the 25-day EMA at $92,177. That may yield range-bound trading with the major finding support at $85,073. Further rebounding will place the next target at $94.553.

Bitcoin Pepe sets the stage for a crypto revolution

The meme culture has revolutionized the crypto market as savvy investors look for profitable opportunities in affordable projects with huge growth potential. The popularity of meme coins has boosted the market to a market cap of $59 billion according to CoinGecko.

It is no wonder Bitcoin Pepe, the first meme ICO on the Bitcoin network, has caught the industry by storm. About three weeks since the launch of its presale, the project has already sold out its first 5 stages. During that period, it has raised over $3.8 million. Besides, its token price has surged by 27.6% to the current $0.0268.

Indeed, Bitcoin Pepe is designed in favor early adopters. By the end of the remaining 24 sessions, the token price will have cumulative gains of 311.4% at $0.0864.

This success is not just built on its virality; its infrastructure adds to the project’s growth potential. To begin with, it combines Solana’s speed with Bitcoin’s stability. Besides, the PEP-20 standard enables one to launch meme coins on Bitcoin. It is these factors that are set to sustain the project’s upward momentum before and after its listing in the year’s second quarter. Find out how to buy Bitcoin Pepe here.

Ripple price underperforms as talks of a crypto reserve underwhelms the market

Ripple price extended its gains on Wednesday; erasing some of the losses recorded at the start of the week. Even so, it remains under pressure as investors maintain a risk-off mood with a crypto fear & greed index of 20. Optimism over a US crypto reserve as highlighted by President Trump appears to be fading.

A look at its daily chart shows the altcoin’s price hovering around the 25 and 50-day EMAs. In the near term, the range between $2.2631 and $2.6065 will be worth watching. Further rebounding will likely have Ripple price find resistance at $2.7450. However, this thesis will be invalidated by a pullback past the lower support zone of $2.1640.
